On a better note...
Greta usually likes to walk and not ride. She was a good sport and stayed in the backpack for most of the way up. She loved toddling around the lake and exploring.
Elsa and Ava (L to R: Joshua, Benjamin, Jack, and Andrew)
Greta loved lounging on the chairs and was entertained with her graham crackers.
Elsa and Ava with their cousins Ashley and Kaitlyn.
Our trip to Utah was not all about sick beds. We got in late Wednesday night (love only having an hour and a half flight!). Thursday morning we hiked up to Secret Lake, which is absolutely beautiful. Really. The scenery is breathtaking. There is nothing the surpasses the beauty of the majestic mountains and the clear blue skies that go on forever. It made me miss living in Utah. Elsa and Ava love hiking and had the greatest time with their cousins. We had a picnic at the lake and then all the kids soaked their feet and neck coolers in the water. (Grandma made these for a youth pioneer trek a couple of weeks ago. She called them "neck coolers" where Brian decided she should sell and market them as "neckulars".)
After our hike, we all went swimming at the country club. The girls had so much fun jumping off the diving board, shooting water guns with their cousins, and just cooling off from the heat.
