Happy Birthday Grandma and Grandpa!

Grandma by the pool with some of the grandchildren.
Grandma opening her present from Elsa and Ava. They picked out Bananagrams. Grandma is a scrabble pro, seriously! This game is similar but you can play with a crowd, up to 12 players.
The crowd gathered around.
Brian, Grandpa, and Sarah.

The reason we specifically went to Utah the week before school started was to celebrate Grandma's and Grandpa's birthday. Their birthdays are on the same day. Amazing, huh? Grandpa turned 60, and Grandma is forever young. Everyone (except one BIL and two nieces) made it into town to celebrate. There are five children, five in-laws, and 19 grandchildren. It is quite a crowd. Melanie calculated the ages of children, grandchildren, and the number of years married, and she figured Grandpa is 330 years in child years. (A family thing.???) Here is the crowd gathering around. We had a BBQ followed by decadent brownies with marshmallows and fudge frosting. A total H family treat - lots of chocolate. Our big gift to them was a picture mosaic of the Salt Lake Temple comprised on hundreds of cell pictures of everyone in the family. It turned out so well. Happy Birthday! Thanks for the many years you've given us.
