The girls all placed their hands on the granite. They took out their journals and pencil rubbed the lettering onto the paper.
Elsa and Ava were touched and wanted to remember this experience.
Elsa and Greta next to my mother's headstone.
The view from their resting place. The mountains are beautiful.
Grant's headstone was placed in the ground the day before we left to return to California. It was a rush job, but then the weather posed problems with snow still on the ground. Fortunately, it cleared just in time, literally, and the headstone was placed. (It was bigger than we expected, but everything was done via email. We just didn't quite visualize the size and layout as a word document.) We were grateful to be able to see this and know that everything was taken care of. It gave us peace of mind to visit one last time before returning home.
