Monday was the first official day of Fall (according to the calendar), but we still have summer weather and are holding onto as many summer days as possible. There aren't enough days in the summer. I love the carefree days of going to the pool, running through sprinklers, eating ice cream sandwiches and Popsicles, cucumbers and garden fresh tomato salads, Midwest thunderstorms and rain showers, boating, Ava in her sunglasses (she loves to wear them), to name only a few. There are many things to look forward to in the fall - the cooler temperatures for walks, bike rides, and going to the park, as well as not needing to water the grass or run the air conditioner. I hope for a LONG long Fall. (I don't like winter.) Here are some pictures of what I'll miss.
