Last Tuesday, Ava's bottom center-left tooth was very loose. She would not let me touch it, but it was hanging by the tiniest piece of tissue. She came home from school with a special tooth box. She and her friend, Charlee, both lost teeth at school. Then the next morning, the second tooth (bottom center-right) came out too! She was so excited. The tooth fairy gave a special gift for losing two teeth.
I love innocence. Elsa is reading "Super Fudge" in her second grade class, and wanted to get ahead. She started reading "Double Fudge" at home. She finished today and when I asked her if she liked it, she said that she "just loved it." She then proceeded to tell me her favorite part, when the little brother, Fudge, shows his big brother, Peter, the box of baby teeth that he finds under his mother's pillow. Peter realizes that these are his teeth and that his mother has been keeping them. Then follows his sad realization that it was his mother who was putting money under his pillow. I started to gulp as Elsa told me, but then she follow-up by saying, "Isn't that funny that his mom took the teeth and gave him money instead of waiting for the tooth fairy to do it? Why do you think she did that?" I was speechless.

too sweet, you probably only have a few more months though. We bought a little time in giving Gabe a signed copy of a picture of the tooth fairy but he's starting to ask a lot of questions...
