The girls were out of school for Veteran's Day, so we took advantage of the day off and headed to Disneyland. It was perfect weather, but a little crowded. My favorite part was seeing Disneyland decorated for Christmas - the giant wreaths that lined main street, the enormous Christmas trees throughout the parks, Sleeping Beauty's castle decked in garland and lights, and Small World in all its bright festive glory.
California Adventure usually is the best place to be on crowded days, but they are renovating most of the rides by Paradise Pier, which resulted in longer lines and bigger crowds for the few rides that were open. Greta loves the Mickey Ferris Wheel and laughs and screams whenever the carriage rocks. It is so cute and entertaining.
Pixie Hollow was re-created to look like scenes from "Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue." The girls had so much fun climbing on the flowers and mushrooms and exploring the new setting. By this time of night, the crowds had dispersed for fireworks, so there weren't any time restraints. The highlight of this trip is that Greta is tall enough to ride the Matterhorn!!! She was so excited and kept her arms in the air, screaming in delight. I am thrilled that we all can go on a rollercoaster together.
Smallworld - My favorite of all the decorations. It just makes me happy to see all the pretty lights.
